FLC Group extends joining effort in the fight against Covid-19 by donating VND 5 billion to Gia Lai

After accompanying with many cities and provinces such as Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Quang Binh, Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh, Bac Lieu, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Ha Tinh, etc. in disease prevention and control, FLC Group carried on donating VND 5 billion to Gia Lai’s vaccination program.

On July 1st 2021, FLC Group donated VND 5 billion to Gia Lai in support of disease prevention and control and vaccine purchase, which would help to ensure sufficient vaccine for all the people of the province.

This is the latest locality to receive support from FLC Group, following more than 10 cities and provinces such as Ha Noi, Quang Ninh, Quang Binh, Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh, Bac Lieu, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Ha Tinh… It is expected that FLC Group will continue to disburse fund to assist other areas in purchasing Covid-19 vaccine in the coming time.

Since May 28th, Gia Lai has witnessed 4 Covid-19 cases and thousands of people being quarantined. The provincial authority has been actively implementing a number of measures to prevent and control the disease, and also preparing for the fourth round of vaccination with about 100,000 jabs.

In this context, the support from businesses and philanthropists will help Gia Lai to expand the budget needed to purchase medical tools, equipment, materials and ensure favorable conditions for the frontline doctors and nurses.

Accompanying with many cities and provinces

Expressing gratitude to the frontline functional force, the leader of FLC Group indicated that joining efforts to fight against the pandemic is a responsibility and also a commitment that FLC Group has comprehensively carried out in the entirety of its business sectors.

Since the start of 2020, FLC Group has accompanied with many hot spots on the epidemic and natural disaster with the total supporting budget of more than VND 150 billion.

Most recently, the Group donated the total sum of over VND 20 billion to Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Gia Lai, Quang Binh in support of implementing vaccination program.

Previously, FLC Group assisted Bac Giang with 3 Covid-19 diagnosis test systems made in the US that cost nearly VND 9 billion; donated VND 3.5 million to Vinh Phuc in support of Covid-19 prevention and control fund and buying Covid-19 Real-time PCR device; assisted Quang Ninh with 2 fully-automatic real-time PCR systems; and donated to the Covid-19 prevention and control fund in many other localities such as Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Bac Lieu, Cau Giay district (Hanoi), etc.

Aiming for dual targets

Along with financial support, FLC Group has also promptly executed a number of measures in order to maintain business activities, which help to enable economic development while still ensure effective Covid-19 prevention and control in respect to the Government’s target.

Thousands of FLC staff, especially in aviation, hotels and resorts, golf have been rapidly provided with Covid-19 prevention jabs. This contributes to increase the safety of the laborers as well as the community in a significant manner, allowing business activities to remain consistent.

In the field of air transport, Bamboo Airways often provides free transport services regarding to medical tools and equipment, as well as donates thousands of return tickets to doctors, nurses and volunteers in order to assist cities and provinces that encounter the pandemic. Within 2020 alone, the Airline had shipped 100 tons of medical goods and essentials for free to hot spots on disasters in Vietnam.

Up to now, Bamboo Airways has served about 10,000 passengers, who are foreigners and Vietnamese returning to their home countries. The Airline had also transported nearly 200 tons of medical goods to the UK, Germany, Czech, etc.

In 2020, Bamboo Airways shipped 100 tons of medical goods and essentials for free to hot spots on disasters in Vietnam.
