As a private, not-for-profit university, the establishment of FLC University was officially approved by Prime Minister on June 3rd 2019.
With the total investment of 4,000 billion VND, the University is built on FLC Quang Ninh University Urban Zone, covering an expected area of 700ha. It is a complete complex constructed to become the first internationally-ranked university which which directly connects FLC Group’s ecosystem of smart urban zones and high-end resorts.
FLC University will be distinguished as a university of the highest excellence with student-centered curriculum. To that end, auxiliary facilities surrounding the premises are all geared towards creating the most conducive environment for the school’s students.
FLC University is established to become a leading university in Vietnam, in the region and in the world, providing both undergraduate and postgraduate education with a distinct pedagogical and scholarly environment that will incubate a skilled workforce to spearhead Vietnam’s key industries.
Upon full operation, FLC University will be the main incubation of a highly-skilled workforce for FLC and its subsidiaries, especially Bamboo Airways and other complexes. It also strives to supply qualified personnel for enterprises in the local area (Van Don International Airport, tourism service providers in the province and especially the high-tech medical and pharmaceutical industrial zone in which the Group intends to invest in Van Don, Quang Ninh). Moreover, graduates from the University will be an elite driving force for businesses working in technology, tourism, aviation in both Vietnam and the region.
FLC University will open for enrollment by the end of 2020, and will accept 600 students for its first class and gradually increasing to over 6,000 by 2024 and 20,000 by 2035.
